A New Kind of Fun!

Today was the first time Audrey has experimented with painting! It took quite a lot of convincing on my part to get her to let me put paint on her hands. Haha! Once we did it she loved it though.

P.S. Before you assume that I am such a great mom, I'll let you know that she drove me crazy THE WHOLE TIME! 2 year olds just can not sit still or wait for even 10 seconds. Even still, it was fun!

3 Months, So Big, and Mommy's Project Complete!

Redick                                                         Reid

Redick                                   Reid
Redick and Reid are 3 months today!! This feels like a big milestone! They are getting really predictable with their routine. Not necessarily a schedule yet as far as times of day but definitely predictable! They are (knock on wood) sleeping great at night too! In fact, last night they slept from 8:30 pm to 5:45 am! Most nights they wake up around 4:00 and go back to sleep until 7:30 or so. Love it.

They are really smiley and starting to laugh a little lately so it is really fun! It's been neat seeing their individual personalities come out too. Redick is pretty mello, even his cry is soft and gentle. He is almost always content and falls asleep easily. In fact, often if he seems to have nothing else to do he'll fall asleep. Reid on the other hand is more emotional on both ends of the spectrum! He smiles a lot more and loves to make eye contact and is really playful. Also, when he cries he screams!! They are both really sweet.

Lots of people ask how we can tell them apart. They actually look quite different when you see them next to each other. Redick is about a pound and a half bigger than Reid. Redick has a rounder face and bigger features and his skin is a bit darker. Reid has less hair (now that most of it has fallen out), is skinnier and has slightly bluer eyes. The most practical way I tell them apart, however, is that I normally dress them differently.

Doesn't she look so big!?!?

Progress on my living room!
To the neglect of my laundry, dishes, dinner making and general household responsibilities, (yes, I did feed my children, but that's about it!) I sewed these curtains! I had a pretty specific vision in mind so I decided to just order fabric and make them myself. Now that I am feeling like the kids schedules are more manageable I am looking forward to doing more decorating!

We are doing great otherwise! I have more pictures to post from when my best friend Lindsey came to visit with her 2 little girls. We had so much fun but that will have to be for another day...
